Synchronize
Synchronize is about the feeling that there is never quite enough time in a day.
It’s a fascinating fact that our natural biological day is actually slightly longer than the earth's geophysical day. As a result, we must constantly synchronize with the daylight, and our mechanical clocks, in order to keep time with the earth’s 24-hour day. If we didn’t, our bodies' days would be slightly longer, continually shifting our perception of the day. Our biological circadian rhythm relies on light and dark in our environment to guide it.
Perhaps this is exactly why it often feels like there isn’t enough time in the day—because there isn’t.
Synchronize was created in Photoshop, using several arial photographs that I took from an airplane, combined with scanned graphics about planetary cycles, sleep patterns, and other textures, images and type.
